Tell us a bit about yourself.

Im a DJ/Producer from Belfast, that lives in London persueing the dream of a career in music. For more gorey deatils please contact any of my friends and I am sure they will delighted to give you a much more graffic account as to what im really like! :)

What sort of equipment do you use to produce your music?

I make all my stuff on a G5 Mac using Logic 7 and a range of other software instruments. I dont really use any hardware symths at all because you can get most things in software versions now.

Who are biggest musical influences production wise ?

Ive always loved The Prodigy, that gritty attitude that they always had in their music was quality. I like to have some off the wall elements in my tracks too. Nu Nrg have always been a big favourite of mine, they always managed to get a great balance of of happy uplifting music but with amazing grooves. All their tracks have been qulaity and I am trying to make sure I have that same consistency.

Your tune "Vivid Intent" was recently Armin Van Buuren's tune of the week and was on Eddie Halliwell's Cream Ibiza compilation, and no doubt hammered by all the top dj's. How does it feel to have one of your tunes held in such high esteem?

Its been amazing. As a producer you want as many people to be buzzing off your tracks as possible and Vivid Intent has definately been my most popular yet. I knew once it was finished that it had a special feel to it, this is something that you cant always get when producing a track. It will be a difficult one to follow but hopefully my new tracks will get a s much support as Vivid Intent did.

You have recently collaborated with Marc Van Linden, how did that all come about?

Me and Marc became friends over the internet because we liked each others music. We both decided to do a remix swap where he remixed my track K.I.A and I did his track False Sense in return. I then went over to Germany to stay with Marc for a few days to work on something together and we came up with "What The ---- Do You Mean?". Its a bit different from our normal sound, its more proggy with some electro Influnces too. It is coming soon on Midway Records along with my remix of False Sense on the other side. He's a cool guy and we get on really well.

What sort of releases can we expect from you in the future?

I have quite a few techy tracks on their way on Discover Dark - Jaws, The Instigator and a wicked new track called Grade A. These are all experimental, just pushing a few boundaries and trying new things. I am also working on a couple of trancey tracks at the moment for my next Discover release. I have recently remixed Deems - Tears of Hope, this is coming out on Discover soon, its turned out really well and has a big trancey feel to it. Myself and Simon Patterson are about to start our first collaboration, we have been talking about it for a while now but we are putting the ideas together at the moment, really looking forward to this. I am also about to start remixing the next Sophie Sugar track which will be due on Armada late in the year, quality trance at its best.

You have just recorded your first live compilation album, the next "Live As" album on Discover records. How was that?

It was wicked thanks. It was recorded from Fire it Up /Inside Out at the Arches in Glasgow. Anyone who has been here will know that the crowd up there are brilliant. I havent actually heard the recording yet but I think it went well. Its a different feeling knowing that you are being recorded and especially that it will be in the shops! It was exciting and a great thing to be part of so hopefully people will like it!

At only 23 years of age, you have achieved things that a lot of people on dream about. Can we expect even bigger and better things from you in the future?

Thanks a lot! Things are going really well at the moment and the plan is for this to continue. Ive been working hard on my music for a long time and im working harder than ever on my plans for the future. There are lots of good things in the pipes and as long as you are focused and passionate about what you want then there will be bigger and better things to talk about, all being well!

Where do you see yourself in five years time?

This is impossible to predict, I would hope to have a great career in music and to be achieving the goals that I am aiming for, but I dont want to make predictions, id rather keep my head down and succeed at what I am doing and then we can talk about it all then : )
