FIREFLIES feat. ALEXANDRA PRINCE 'I CAN'TGET ENOUGH'
Originally surfacing as a limited promo run, Data have been so overwhelmed at the feedback from 'I Can't Get Enough' that a full release has been scheduled for 13th November 2006. Off the back of that original run, Tong made it his Essential New Tune, Jules made it his Funky Tried & Tested and the people at Kiss are biting our hands off for a copy.
Following on from the recent success of 'Supermode', Data Records continue their onslaught with another monster of a record. In a similar vein, Data dip once again in to the Swedish House Mafia pool of talent for one of the hottest releases of the year. This time it is the turn of Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello, under their FIREFLIES guise, to fly the Nordic flag and deliver one of the most brilliantly contagious dancefloor weapons in recent months and one of the biggest club anthems of 2006.
Setting the standards for a new generation of clubbers, this talented, Swedish house collective have truly made their mark on the global dance community; injecting it with a fresh and exciting energy. Much like the Dutch contingent, who invaded and monopolised the trance scene, the Swedes have firmly taken control of the latest house movement.
Individually inspiring, devastatingly brilliant when combined, Angello and Ingrosso have done it again with this big room beast.Their musical concoctions scream at you: passion, commitment, dedication, focus, drive, and energy. Qualities that come through in their personalities and their ever evolving sound; and this track is further representative of their commitment to solid, driving, quality house music with depth.
'I Can't Get Enough' is a brilliant slice of electronic mayhem, guaranteed to get a dancefloor heaving. With a driving bassline and soaring strings gliding throughout the intro, the track builds into a brilliantly layered cacophony of sounds. Alexandra Prince, who more recently lay down her silky smooth voice on Gadjo's 'So Many Times', provides the powerful vocals in truly effortless style. The result is an uplifting and energetic floor filler that will have you insisting 'I Can't Get Enough' at 6am on a Sunday morning'
Iain Carey delivers a pacier version for the harder dancefloors; dreamy vocals and electric breakdowns will make this a favourite in the tougher clubs. Richard F steps up to remix duties with a more stripped down version; delivering an effective reworking of the hook vocals, a chugging bassline and a true crescendo of a breakdown.
Support has come from the DJ elite including Pete Tong, Roger Sanchez, Steve Smart and Full Intention and is working its way onto some of the funkiest dancefloors across the globe. Mr. Tong showed no resistance to the track by playing it on his next available show after the first listen (and a subsequent 4 times since) going on to make it is ESSENTIAL NEW TUNE, Jules also made it his Funky Tried and Tested on the same weekend! It has quality stamped all over it and with a CoolCuts No. 4 and a No.3 in the Music Week Club Chart, this is ready to take clubland by storm.
