Mixed live in Los Angeles and San Francisco

Discover Records - part of the stable of labels within the RecoverWorld Group - presents ’Live As… 4’, the fourth in the innovative album series, mixed entirely live and club fresh.

For this volume, the Discover rolls stateside to the legendary After Hour Power at Avalon in Los Angeles and 1015 in San Francisco. Joining John Askew behind the decks this time is hot shot Sean Tyas. A great deal of hype surrounds this New York native – the buzz for his first Discover single "Lift", was further amplified by Sean winning the Sander van Doorn - Punk'd Remix Competition, beating out over 250 other remixes, and being voted number 11 in Trance Addict’s top 250 DJ poll whilst gaining support from trance heavyweights such as Paul Van Dyk, John O'Callaghan, & Armin Van Buuren.

After the huge success of ‘Live as Fucking Fuck’ in Jan 2005 the ‘Live As…’ series was born. The back-to-basics feel can truly be heard from the thumping beats to the passionate and enthusiastic crowd – it’s as close as you will get to the club experience without actually climbing into your dancing trousers and stepping onto the dancefloor.

With tracks from Mannix, Marc Marlberg and the huge hit ‘Fly Away’ by Vincent de Moor, this latest Live As… album showcases the very best in live trance today. This album perfectly encapsulates the magic and the energy of the crowd, and gives the listener a small piece of what it means for a DJ to be part of that club experience. Drop it onto the stereo, crank up the volume and feel the magic for yourself!

Previous releases in the series have been critically acclaimed including twice Album of the Month in Mixmag.

Other praise:

One Week To Live: “Captures the energy of the crowd and what it means for a DJ to be part of that club experience.”

DJmag: “Turn the lights out at home, crank up the volume and you could almost be there, with every whoop and cheer from the dancefloor there in the mix amongst a truly upfront track selection - a refreshing change from the computer generated, music by numbers mixes that are racked out on store shelves these days.”
