They have managed to seamlessly cross the rock/dance divide selling over 1 million records, and have been at the forefront of cool since 2005. Their UK tour last year sold out in 15 minutes and they are one of the few bands to play five consecutive nights at Brixton Academy, other artistes to do so include The Clash, Bob Dylan, Massive Attack and The Prodigy, however, they were the only band to do it off the back of their debut album! With a string of hits including Living for the weekend and Cash Machine this headline live performance is going to be Hard To Beat. Tickets go on sale at 9am Friday 14th September.
A Liverpool Music Week Spokesperson said: Its really exciting to have such a high calibre band like Hard-Fi perform at this years Liverpool Music Week, having a number 1 selling album in the charts just shows the appeal of the band, and adding them to the bill alongside the likes of The Chemical Brothers, Madness, Pendulum, Simian Mobile Disco, Good Shoes etc just proves how much progress Liverpool Music Week is making.
In addition we can exclusively announce that The Bees are now confirmed to support Madness at Aintree Pavillion on Saturday 8th December. The indie rock group with a musical style ranging from 60s rock, country, reggae and Jazz probably explains why many of their songs have been used on TV Advertisements including Citroen, Sainsburys and Sure deodorant! This sextet from the Isle Of Wight are a real peoples band, capable of doing any groove you need, when you need it. The perfect act to compliment ska godfathers Madness.
