We were waiting to find the perfect line-up for the box room on this date,
but what do you do, when you already have two of the most revered, and
musically astute men in music on the line-up The only option you have is to
try and find some more legends to add!
Derrick L. Carter
The Chi-Town music legend makes a special warehouse appearance. A Manchester
favourite, and always special, Derricks amazing twist on house and techno
has seen him become one of the most unique, and respected DJs and producers
in dance music. A few people have said that there wasnt quite enough house
music just yet, so we think this is a good addition to this line-up. The
Godfather of jackin, bumpy house, Derricks dark and sleazy take on things
is surely going to whip up a storm.
Andrew Weatherall
Another absolute legend. Mr Weatherall has been around since the whole thing
began, and has played an instrumental role in the development of the UK
scene. From starting the legendary Boys Own fanzine in the late 80s and
becoming one of the figureheads of the acid house explosion, he went on to
produce Primal Screams seminal Screamadelica album, as well as tracks fro
New Order and The Happy Mondays. His Sabres of Paradise project saw him push
the boundaries again with some pioneering techno productions. Then in his
2LoneSwordsmen incarnation, he blurred the boundaries yet again, with a dark
rocky electro fuelled onslaught. The guy is a true stalwart of music.
Constantly reinventing, and re-evaluating where he needs to be. Always true
to himself and always real.
Luciano
Luciano's mixed Swiss & Chilean identity shows in his music, a somewhat
mystical blend of deep techno & electro that integrates southern elements in
rhythms and colorful patterns in sound. Mellowing his style as times goes
by, getting more experimental and spacey with a fresh style of his own,
Lucianos production is destined for the wiser dance floors around the
world. His presence on this line-up adds a very special twist to the night
As one of the most talked about artists on the continent, his sets at clubs
like Cocoon and Circo Loco have seen him quickly become one of the hottest
DJs in Europe. A legend in the makings
