Friday 17th and Saturday 18th November sees a massive showcase of live music

With this week's Metropolis party featuring Pendulum, Goldie and The Pharcyde live on Friday night already sold out and a corking live gig from Mancunian legend Mark E Smith & The Fall on Sunday we're turning our attention to next week's Warehouse festivities with two smashers coming in to view'

Friday 17th and Saturday 18th November sees a massive showcase of live music and DJs from across the spectrum featuring some of the hottest bands of the moment and some of the greatest DJs in the business. This whole weekend is going to be off the meter! We have just added The Subways to the huge Transgressive line-up cementing what is an already groundbreaking event as the hottest ticket of the winter.

Joining the likes of The Young Knives, Mystery Jets and Larrikin Love for special live-sets, plus further shows from the hotly-tipped emergents Battle, Polytechnic, Jeremy Warmsley and Ladyfuzz, plus recent/brand-new Transgressive signings Foals and Mechanical Bride, Manchester's Warehouse Project will be rocked to the sounds of a band who haven't played on UK terrain for months following doctor's orders for vocalist Billy Lunn to rest after being diagnosed with nodules on his vocal chords. This will be a very special one-off and one of the band's last live sets of the year.

The Subways' '1am' not only marked the band's first ever single in the autumn of 2004, but it was also the legendary, first ever single released by Transgressive to huge critical acclaim. Limited to just 500 7" vinyls, you'll now be lucky to pick up a copy off eBay for under £100.00. The trio have now sold around a quarter of a million copies worldwide of their acclaimed debut album 'Young For Eternity', and are currently working on the long-anticipated follow-up.
